Robert is behind our original concept of enjoyment. The young creative & his TEAM refine exquisite products from the region with a certain pinch of love. The focus is on the authentic simplicity of nature. For smoking, we only look for and use wood from the Goms forests. The sauces are boiled down over days according to old craftsmanship and each cholera is still created by hand. Working with regional producers is a matter close to our hearts. It is this respect for our homeland and our tradition that brought us into the top 12 at BEST OF SWISS GASTRO 2020.

Our products and the wineries are selected again and again. The decision on the product selection is made at the first sip. To find a place on our menu, the quality must convince our team. When it comes to wines, we rely exclusively on Valais products. We also recommend our brandy, gin, vermouth and whiskies from our home region. Our team is happy to take the time to find the right drink for the right situation.
We are the only restaurant in Goms to offer you dry-aged meat and we know where our meat comes from. The selected piece of meat is carefully hung for weeks in the Landhaus. This slow, traditional way of processing meat was already practised in the Valais in the past. All these details lead to an unforgettable, tender meat experience.

Cholera, pronounced Chouera locally in Goms, is a vegetable cake with leeks, potatoes, cheese and apples. The recipes have been cooked unchanged for generations. Even then, people knew how to use the treasures of nature from our region. In the old days, the pan of cholera was put in the coals to bake. The German word for coal in the Valais is chola or cholu. In Valais, the term cholära also refers to the open antechamber in the bakehouse where the coals were collected in a pit in front of the oven door. However, there is no certainty about the origin of the word. What we do know is that our cholera is a must-eat in the LANDHAUS and therefore our favourite dish. Enjoy your meal!
